Martin Kemps son Roman shares sad admission after fearing what
The One Show presenter Roman Kemp has addressed one misconception about his famous family, after sharing worries about his dad Martin Kemp's mortality.

Martin Kemp, 63, and his son Roman, 31, have forged a successful double act in recent years, appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox together and co-hosting their new podcast, FFS! My Dad Is Martin Kemp.

However, Roman has sadly revealed that, outside of their joint projects, he and his Spandau Ballet star dad "don't see each other as much as people think".

The One Show presenter's admission comes just months after he shared an "innate" fear about how he'll cope when Martin dies.

Speaking on The Therapy Crouch podcast in October, Peter Crouch quizzed Roman on if he was "enjoying" working with his dad on Celebrity Gogglebox, to which he replied: "Gogglebox is fantastic, Gogglebox - doing that with my dad - is so lucky.

"We don't see each other as much as people think, we speak on the phone nearly every day, but my dad DJs now.

"No banter, he sends me videos and it's rammo up and down the country - he does these 80s nights."

Peter's wife Abbey Clancy then excitedly interjected: "We were saying the other night, there's nowhere to go to dance to 80s music - we need to go!"

Despite his dad's gigs leading to more time apart, Roman proudly agreed with the model, replying: "You guys will love it, it's fantastic!

"My dad says he goes in there, and all of a sudden people are transformed back into their childhood, and they just love it."

In a previous interview with The Times back in May, Roman revealed he had to convince his dad to sign up for the Channel 4 programme, which shows celebrities critiquing the latest TV shows from their own living rooms, as Martin initially felt "it was too invasive for him".

The former Capital Breakfast host also confessed that he wants to focus on making more memories with his dad, as he often worries, "what am I going do when he dies?".

He said: “Dad didn’t want to do it because it was too invasive for him — my mum and dad are quite closed people, they don’t have celeby friends, although I know that sounds ridiculous because George Michael was their best friend.

"But when I’m a grandad I can show my grandkids what I was like with my dad on Gogglebox and I love that. And there’s this innate thing of, like, ‘S***! What am I going do when he dies?’”

Martin Kemp is appearing on The Great Pottery Throw Down's Christmas special tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
