Who is Max Harwood Strictly Come Dancing stage set for young actor
Max Harwood joins The Feeling to perform in the ballroom at the end of Strictly Come Dancing's Musicals Week

Given that this week has been devoted to Musicals on Strictly Come Dancing, it’s only right that a star from one appears on the show as a guest.

On Sunday night, Max Harwood will join The Feeling as the latest musical stars to perform in the ballroom, following in the footsteps of the likes of Westlife, Gregory Porter and Craig David & MNEK.

Max has become a star of the big screen this year thanks to taking the leading role in the movie version of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Released a few months ago, the film adaptation of the acclaimed West End smash, also features former Coronation Street star and Happy Valley actress Sarah Lancashire as Max’s on screen Mum.

Max, 24, studied at the Guildford School of Acting before moving to London to pursue his acting career which has also seen him star as Oliver in fantasy film The Loneliest Boy in the World.

It’s apt that The Feeling are joining Max on Strictly as it’s the Fill My Little World band’s frontman Dan Gillespie-Sells who is responsible for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’s soundtrack, right from its birth as a small musical in Sheffield.

It’s currently on a UK tour after taking London by storm and is based on the real life story of a would-be teenage drag queen from the North East, who himself inspired BBC Three documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16.

Tweeting about his Strictly star turn, Max posted: "Living my pop star fantasy with @thefeeling on @bbcstrictly TONIGHT"

Max and The Feeling's appearance on Strictly comes after Tilly and Nikita topped the leaderboard on Musicals Week with a perfect score for their Couples' Choice dance to Revolting Children from Matilda.
