McDonald's launches 'UK first' across all restaurants from today
McDonald's bosses have confirmed a new UK first will be rolled out across its restaurants from today (Wednesday).
The place with the golden arches is popular with diners across the country and while some signature staples remain year-round, other things are subject to change. Various menu items come and go, as do Happy Meal toys.
This week McDonald's has announced a new change to its children's meals, with the launch of its first ever UK anime-themed Happy Meal.

From May 8 each Happy Meal will come with one of ten Yu-Gi-Oh! X Hello Kitty and Friends plush toys. The range will feature in kids' meals until June 18.
A McDonald's spokesperson said: "In a year of celebrations with not one but three anniversaries (Hello Kitty and McDonald’s UK celebrate their 50th anniversaries whilst Yu-Gi-Oh! has its 25th Card Game anniversary), what better way to mark the occasion than with an exciting anime takeover.
"Never before have these two anime worlds collided so, whether it’s your first experience with either franchise or you’re an avid fan, don’t miss the exclusive opportunity to enjoy this anime special with Happy Meal".
Customers can alternatively choose one of two Little People Big Dreams books: "I Can Be an Awesome Performer" or "I Can Be a Curious Scientist".
