London weather forecast hour by hour as severe snow and rain warnings cover

There is not much let up from the rain for the next two days as the Met Office issues a number of weather warnings

London is set for two days of heavy rain as the Met Office issues a yellow warning for rain across the south of England. In fact, most of the UK is covered in weather warnings as there are yellow and amber warnings for snow and ice further north until Saturday.

London will be beset by rain as it continues for the next two days. Londoners will have woken up today (Thursday, February 8) to heavy rain with this set to continue until 1pm. After that, there will be a break until 4pm but from 5pm, the rain will start again for the rest of Thursday.

Friday, February 9, will see no let-up as it continues to rain throughout the early hours of the morning and continues until 4pm, with the possibility of an hour's break from the rain at 9am. From 5pm on Friday, the rain should have stopped and finally, some sustained dry weather will set in.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning amid heavy rain in the capital over the next two days

In the rest of the UK, there are amber warnings for snow and ice in North Wales and just snow around the Peak District and south Pennines. Almost all the rest of North England is encompassed within yellow warnings for snow with Scotland and Northern Ireland having snow and ice warnings too.

Some of Wales, Eastern England and parts of England between Birmingham and London's latitude have escaped the weather warnings but that's not to say they won't experience some of the wet weather.

Back in London, Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 will be dry with highs of 11C and 10C respectively. The dry weather continues into next week as Monday, February 12 is forecast to be dry and cloudy with highs of 9C. Tuesday, February 13, will have some sunny intervals before it goes back to being cloudy on Wednesday, February 14.
