Humanists UK respond to Michaela School 'prayer ban' ruling
Humanists UK have called for the Government to develop national guidance for England on the question of religious practices in schools following today’s High Court ruling which ruled in favour of the so-called ‘prayer ban’ at Michaela Community School.
This ruling has sparked a debate on the role of religion in schools and the rights of students to practice their faith. It highlights the need for clear guidelines to be established to ensure that all students, regardless of their beliefs, are treated fairly and respectfully in the education system.
