Genshin Impact 2.2 livestream release time, October Genshin Codes countdown

UPDATE: Today will see the release of the Genshin Impact 2.2 livestream, with developers Mihoyo setting the start time for around 1pm BST on Twitch. That means there are only a few hours left on the official countdown, with Mihoyo also promising new Genshin Impact codes for October 2021.

The same Twitch broadcast will be available to watch in North America at the much earlier 5am PDT on the official Genshin Impact Twitch Channel, followed by the video being posted on YouTube a few hours last on October 3.

ORIGINAL: Genshin Impact will continue to grow this year, with the team behind the hit action RPG releasing the next major update on PS4, PS5, PC and Mobile in October 2021.

Plans for what is coming next will be revealed this weekend as part of the new Genshin Impact 2.2 livestream event, being held first on Twitch. The good news is that we know the next streaming event is being held and that there will be new Genshin Impact redeem codes to add to your account afterwards.

The big mystery surrounds how many Banners will be held during Genshin Impact 2.2, how many five characters will be included, and what new features will be added to the game.

There hasn’t been as many as before previous Genshin streams, so we don’t have such an easy time predicting what characters and Banners will be included. A few hints have been shared by Mihoyo, which makes the process a little easier.

Thoma, the housekeeper from Mondstadt, is expected to be a pyro polearm character that will be featured during the 2.2 eras. Hints have already been dropped suggesting their inclusion, although we don’t know when during Genshin 2.2 they will be featured.

Thoma can reportedly create barriers to protect his teammates and is expected to be further explained during the upcoming 2.2 livestream.

WHEN IS THE GENSHIN IMPACT LIVESTREAM?

For the first time in a long while, Mihoyo has decided on a weekend showing, with the Genshin Impact 2.2 start date scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2021. The official start time has been set for around 1pm BST on the official Genshin Impact Twitch Channel.

A YouTube broadcast is also being planned but that won’t happen until later in the day and will include all the latest news compiled in one video. This means you will have to wait until later in the day for the broadcast to be uploaded and shared.

This will mean a new wave of four-star characters to unlock over the coming weeks to help swell your ranks.

Meanwhile, Mihoyo is also expected to share its latest Codes that will provide extra XP and levelling opportunities for those who choose to redeem them.

These will be the latest to be launched during August and are expected to offer in-game currency and free items.

Most Genshin Impact codes only last a short while and need to be redeemed as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
