Walmart plans 350 million investment into Texas milk processing plant
Walmart announced on March 7 that it plans to spend $350 million to build a milk processing plant in Robinson, Texas.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Walmart announced on March 7 that it plans to spend $350 million to build a milk processing plant in Robinson, Texas.

According to Talk Business and Politics, the facility will employ around 400 people and support 750 of its stores and Sam’s Clubs in the southern part of the United States.

Walmart acquires VIZIO for $2.3 billion

Since the plant will be located near Waco, farmers in the area will provide the raw milk to the plant, which will be processed into Great Value and Member’s Mark bottled milk. Walmart says products like ice cream, butter or yogurt will not be made at the plant.

Walmart broke ground on the plant this week and expects it to be operational by 2026.
