Wait, is that GK Barry in Netflix's Missing You?
Harlan Coben is back on Netflix with a new thriller called Missing You. This time round, the story follows detective Kat Donovan, who is spooked to discover her ex-partner on a dating app, despite the fact he deserted her 11 years prior. As she begins to dig into what exactly is going on, the mystery surrounding her dad's death also comes into question.
But before we even get that far, viewers might be shocked to see actual GK Barry in the first scene of the show, titled 'Every Breath You Take.' Real name Grace Keeling, the 25-year-old recently appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and is the host of podcast Saving Grace.
But it seems like she's making her first foray into acting, with her character seen playing with her hair and playing under a blanket, as a voiceover says, "I dream of you. Kissing you. Holding You. The feel of your skin against mine. I love you." At the same time, a man, who has his wrists bound, is seen falling off a horse.
So, what is actually going on? Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK, Grace revealed someone reached out and asked her if she wanted to be a part of the show. "They approached my manager and said, 'We're doing this new Netflix show, and we'd love Grace to be a little part in it.' And I thought, 'Well, I'm not going to say no.'
"So we got on a call, and they were explaining who my character was, and it made me laugh so much because it's very on brand." Without giving too much away (spoilers!) Grace added that her character is a "foot cam girl."
Filming took place over one day in Manchester, in September 2024. "They gave me a brief outline of what it was about and read me the line up of people [involved] and I thought, 'I absolutely will do that.'
"I just wanted to do it because I thought it was kind of iconic. I want to build the CV up so my parents cannot moan about anything! I would do [more acting], like The Office vibes, or something that doesn't involve tense acting. I couldn't do Game of Thrones."
This is amazing.
Missing You is now streaming on Netflix.
