Is Sky Mobile down? Customers report widespread network issues with data problems and service outage

Sky Mobile has stopped working for thousands of customers across the UK, in what appears to be a major outage.

People are reporting being unable to make or receive calls, send or receive messages or access mobile internet.

Thousands of customers have already logged the issue with online outage tracker Down Detector.

Users have also been sharing their struggles on social media. Luke Dolan said on Twitter: “Anyone else’s Sky Mobile down? Boss just came in asking me why I’m ignoring him.”

Another customer added: “I just launched phone across my lorry because I thought it was playing up, just found out Sky Mobile network is down!!!”

Sky has confirmed that it is aware of the issue.

Its customer support team posted on Twitter shortly after 12.30pm: “We are aware that some Sky Mobile customers are experiencing intermittent issues with their service right now.

“We are investigating the issue and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.”

It is currently unclear what has caused the outage, or when services could be back.
