NAGA MUCHETTY has spoken out after she shared a "childish" post with her Twitter followers on Christmas Day.

BBC Breakfast presenter, Naga Munchetty, 46, posted a cheeky photograph to her 264,000 Twitter followers on Christmas Day. The snap in question featured a large carrot which was slightly deformed and looked a bit rude.

The carrot made her fans giggle as it looked like two legs with something between them.

Naga shared the original photograph from journalist Harry Cole and captioned the tweet: “I know... I'm childish. Don't care.  

“Happy Christmas Dinner cooking x.”

Her followers loved the racy snap and many took to the comments to share their thoughts.

He told BBC Breakfast fans via Twitter that he will be "hanging up" his "hard hat and hi-vis" after a decade working on news reports for the channel.

He wrote: “I’m hanging up my @BBCBreakfast hard hat and hi-vis in the New Year, so here’s a little thread of some of my ten years on the road, getting access to some of the most interesting and amazing businesses, and taking you with us."

Naga shared his post on her page, telling fans she'll miss him "immensely".

She wrote: "I will miss you immensely on-air, but you'll always be my partner in mischief x."

Viewers flocked to her post to send their supportive messages.

Mrs H wrote: "Hope you move onto something that makes you happy. Lots of luck!!!"

Richard Marsden added: "Awww good luck Ben @BBCBenThompson."

Calvin Kablooie commented: "@BBCBenThompson you could have left it until after Christmas. You are always so enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

"It improves the programme immensely when you appear. You, Charlie [Stayt], and Naga are the dream team.”
