Hornets LaMelo Ball earns high praise from NBAHooperVision hosts Quentin Richardson Jamal Crawford
Quentin Richardson and Jamal Crawford heaped praise on emerging star LaMelo Ball while discussing where he would rank among point guards.

On Thursday, Quentin Richardson and Jamal Crawford were back together for another #NBAHooperVision stream on NBA League Pass. Providing insight for a tightly contested game between the Hornets and Heat, the duo discussed one of the two All-Stars on the court.

When asked where they would rank LaMelo Ball among the league's best point guards, the duo heaped praise on the young star.

"I'll say this, man, he's a young superstar coming," Richardson said.

"I don't know what rank he is as far as 'better than this guy, that guy,' I just know that he is one of the best point guards and especially one of the best young point guards we have in the league. He has an extremely, extremely high ceiling and a bright future."

"As long as he continues to get better, man, the sky is the limit for him," Richardson continued. "He got a chance to be really, really good."

"It's unbelievable that we are asking where does he rank among point guards in Year 2," added Crawford.

The reigning Rookie of the Year, Ball is averaging 20.2 points, 7.4 assists and 7.0 rebounds through 52 games this season. He has played a leading role in Charlotte's 29-30 start, putting the Hornets in the Play-In race in the Eastern Conference.

Named an All-Star replacement for Kevin Durant, the 20-year-old joined an elite list with his first career selection. At 20 years and 182 days, Ball became the fourth-youngest player ever to be named an All-Star. He trails only Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Magic Johnson, respectively.

With his infectious and fast-paced playmaking, Ball is a point guard that always keeps his teammates involved.

"I think the best thing he has going for him is that his teammates enjoy playing with him," Richardson said.
