What are McDonald's opening hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day 2022?

It might be the season for turkey and the trimmings, but let’s be honest, there’s always a time for a McDonald’s – whether you’re a traditional Big Mac meal sort of person or all about the Chicken Selects.

McDonald’s, which has 1,300 branches in the UK, has been open over the festive season, with some locations even opening their doors on Christmas Day – although in many cases their hours have been reduced.

If you want to bid farewell to 2021 or kick off 2022 with a trip to Maccy D’s though, will they be open across the New Year period?

Branches will be open on New Year’s Eve, but many will operate a reduced schedule, in some cases closing as early as 7 or 8pm.

Others, however, may be open later, depending on where you are in the country and where your nearest branch is – those inside shopping centres and supermarkets will most likely close earlier on New Year’s Eve as the shops will be shutting earlier.

The majority of McDonald’s branches will be open on New Year’s Day.

Once again the hours will vary depending on the branch – many in London will open as early as 7 or 8am on the day, or even earlier in some cases.

In other parts of the country, including Wales and Northern Ireland, your local may open its doors as late as 11am.
