And to compound her misery, Moore’s horror treble was a PERFECT one.

Incredibly, she put the ball into her own net with her right foot, her left foot AND her head in the first 36 minutes of the game.

Moore got off to a terrible start when she scored an own-goal with her right foot after just five minutes.

Incredibly, she then made it 2-0 to the USA when she netted against her own goalie with a header.

It somehow got worse though.

That’s because Moore then completed her perfect hat-trick of own-goals with a left-footed effort in the 36th minute.

And rather than risk any more going in, New Zealand’s coaches then decided to sub Moore off in the 40th minute.

She looked visibly upset as she was removed from the action.

It meant the USA were 3-0 up at half-time without having to even break sweat.

They then scored a fourth in the 51st minute through Ashley Hatch.

And Mallory Pugh’s injury time effort wrapped up a 5-0 win for the Americans, leaving New Zealand and Moore desolate.
