Unplayable Rob Lee praises Allan SaintMaximin as Newcastle blow Everton away
Allan Saint-Maximin put on a man-of-the-match performance as Newcastle defeated Everton 3-1 at St James' Park

Newcastle United's talismanic French forward, Allan Saint-Maximin put on an outstanding performance as the Magpies won consecutive games for the first time this season by defeating Everton 3-1 at St James' Park.

The winger was a danger throughout and BT Sport pundit and ex- Newcastle player, Rob Lee was full of praise for his performance, calling him 'unplayable'.

" Saint-Maximin was absolutely unplayable tonight, I have seen him play well but he was outstanding tonight, by far the best player on the pitch," Lee said in the post-match analysis.

"I would have loved to see him (ASM) score a goal, he was creating stuff, he had the end product, people were getting on the end of his crosses, he was causing so many problems throughout the game. He was that good, that good."

Saint-Maximin created the vital second goal for Eddie Howe's side as he burst down the left and crossed into the six-yard-box. No Everton player dealt with the danger and Ryan Fraser swept the ball home to send St James' Park into raptures.

Later, Saint-Maximin set up Jacob Murphy to hit a post before going close himself after another mazy run.

Joleon Lescott was also on punditry duties and he said:

"He was causing so many problems going forward. He had a good end product, which has probably been his criticism recently, but he created a lot of opportunities and Newcastle need to capitalise on that going forward."

Newcastle face Aston Villa at St James' Park at the weekend, as they bid to win three matches in a row and pull further clear of the relegation zone after lifting themselves out of it with tonight's victory.
