Monster Hunter Rise and Nintendo Switch Dominate Japan's Top 100 2021 Chart

2021 was a very interesting year for gaming as a whole. Big titles came out from all three main console companies, and even the indie game market shined in a way that led to one of their titles being a Game of the Year winner in some cases. But if you look at the charts, especially the one that was revealed by Famitsu last week, you’ll see that in Japan in 2021…it was dominated by two things. Monster Hunter Rise, and the Nintendo Switch.

As you can see, the Switch had a DOMINATING presence on their Top 100 games of 2021 list. With the Nintendo Switch having the first 21 spots all to itself before Sony and the PlayStation came in. And it was headlined by the beloved Monster Hunter Rise at the top. Check out the full list below:
