Nottingham Forest could rescue two points in sensational twist - Kieran Maguire

Nottingham Forest lawyer Nick De Marco can rescue the club two points in their PSR appeal despite it appearing to be an “open and shut case”.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that De Marco is “the best sports lawyer in the country”.
Forest were deducted four points earlier this season for breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules in their 2022-23 accounts.
The club swiftly appealed the decision and are expecting to hear the verdict from their appeal this week.
Everton successfully appealed their PSR breach earlier this season and regained four points from their initial 10-point deduction.

Maguire believes that it will be a “good result” for Forest if they are able to rescue two points from their appeal.

“If there’s one man that can come in on the 89th minute and get Nottingham Forest a result – it’s Nick De Marco,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher,
“He is one of the best, if not the best sports lawyers in the country.
“I think if Forest got one or two points back from their appeal then they would consider that a good result.
“But it will require all of the persuasive talents of Forest’s legal team to achieve that given that the crux of the issue is Brennan Johnson’s transfer fee.
“On the face of it, it is an open and shut case.“
