Nottingham tram issues 'severe disruption' warning as weather leads to big issues on network

There are only two trams running on the Nottingham network this morning with the operator blaming 'adverse weather conditions'. NET posted on X, formerly Twitter, this morning, to say: "Apologies, due to adverse weather conditions we have only two trams on the system.
"All of Nottingham City Buses are accepting our tickets and passes. East Midlands trains from Hucknall to Beeston are also accepting our tickets and passes."
NET has also warned of significant disruption and severe delays on the network as a result, as temperatures plummet in the city. It's as cold as -6C in some areas, leading to treacherous conditions on the roads and pavements.
The MET office is warning that temperatures will only rise to above freezing at 11am and will only reach a high of 2C today, at around 3pm, before heading back below freezing at 6pm.
We are reporting on this incident live. All the information we have will be posted in this blog as soon as we have it.
