Gunfire Games has released a new Remnant 2 update, adding support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, and Intel XeSS 1.3.

Gunfire Games has released a new Remnant 2 update, adding support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, and Intel XeSS 1.3 alongside support for the Forgotten Kingdom DLC and more.

Aside from adding support for the latest versions of NVIDIA's and Intel's upscaling techniques, this new patch packs two new Quality of Life additions, including cross-platform friend invites, and an FOV modifier for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game. In addition, this update packs various user interface fixes and plenty of balance changes. "Our goal regarding balance has always been to provide more build options and facilitate as much player creativity as we can", the development team writes. "We’ve gone through almost every aspect of our gear options to strengthen the foundation that every player build relies upon. We hope the changes inspires you to try crazy new builds combinations and experience all the new content we are proud to share with you."

The full release notes for this new Remnant 2 update are quite extensive. As such, we highly suggest checking them out here.

Remnant 2 is available worldwide now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game was released back in July of last year, and as reported late last year, sales have exceeded 2 million units. The game offers plenty of replayability and co-op enjoyment. Here's what we wrote about the sequel in our launch review last year.

Remnant II can be played solo offline or with up to two other players co-op style, with the option to invite folks into your game, join other parties, or play with friends. It’s always a crap shoot whether the randos you let into your game will actually be helpful and joining others you don’t know often feels like you’re showing up to a party you weren’t invited to. Playing with friends long-term over the course of a campaign is the best scenario, as you can craft your characters to compliment each other. That said, I have to say, it doesn’t always feel like the game was built around co-op. I was expecting more scenarios where having multiple teammates really helped you strategically, but I guess Gunfire didn’t wasn’t to exclude solo players. As is, co-op play is largely just you and your teammates running around in a pack shooting at the same mobs of enemies. Playing co-op with friends is the best way to experience Remnant II, it’s certainly easier than playing solo, but there’s just not a ton of unique depth to it.
