Johnny Depp v Amber Heard libel trial – updates: Catch up on what has happened in court so far
The court is now being shown a video that Amber Heard secretly recorded.
It's at Depp's house in West Hollywood, he confirms. The actor can be seen banging cupboard doors and then pouring himself a large glass of red wine, before discovering the recording and getting angry.
He tells the court that "clearly, I was having a bad time" and that being "illegally recorded... is quite fitting" with other photos Heard took, suggesting she was setting him up.
He admits hitting some cabinets, but not Heard.
At this point the camera in court pans to the actress, who looks upset.
"You're a lot bigger than Amber, correct?" Mr Rottenborn asks. Depp says he wouldn't say this.
The lawyer than asks if Depp feels he lived up to the standards of a "southern gentleman" in this clip. The court has previously heard this is how the actor tried to conduct himself.
"I have had experiences in my life where one does stray from complete control over their emotions at times and that is a very normal, primal thing to do," Depp says, in response to Mr Rottenborn. "I did not try to intimidate Ms Heard. If she was intimidated, why was she filming? If she was scared to death, why didn't she leave?"
