Foster says Coventry draw feels like a defeat
Plymouth Argyle head coach Ian Foster says Coventry's 96th minute equaliser made their 2-2 draw "felt like a defeat".

Plymouth Argyle head coach Ian Foster said Coventry City's 96th minute equalise "felt like a defeat".

His comments came after the Sky Blues came from behind twice to secure a hard fought 2-2 draw in the Championship when Liam Kitching's shot was bundled in late on at Home Park.

Foster said Plymouth "probably deserved to win the game" but that "poor game management" cost them.

Plymouth Argyle welcome promotion chasers Leeds United on Saturday.

Responding to how the game compared to the poor second-half showing away to Sunderland last week, Foster said he was "pleased with the overall performance".

'Mentally challenging'

"You're always in danger of becoming too emotional immediately after a game," he told BBC Radio Devon.

"We're obviously disappointed in the manner of the goal, and disappointed not to come away with all three points.

"It's been taken away from us right at the death from some poor decision making, but we'll learn quickly."

Plymouth face a challenging run of upcoming fixtures in the Championship, facing second-placed Leeds and then West Bromwich Albion, in fifth, three days later.

On Saturday's match, Foster said his players have to "recover quickly" and that the following days would be "mentally challenging for the players".

"[Leeds] will be rubbing their hands together so I'm sure they'll look at [the Coventry result] and think we are going into the game mentally and physically tired."
