Argyle 2 Bristol City 2 Recap: Greens draw after late equaliser
Plymouth Argyle twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Bristol City in a see-saw New Year's Day match at a sold-out Home Park.
The Pilgrims were playing under the temporary charge of Kevin Nancekivell and Joe Edwards for the first time after the departure of head coach Wayne Rooney following the club's disastrous run of recent Championship results.
City opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Nahki Wells got to a through ball before Argyle goalkeeper Conor Hazard and touched it across to Anis Mehmeti, who slotted into an empty net.

Argyle equalised early in the second half when Rami Al Hajj swept the ball home at the far post after a cross from Morgan Whittaker on the right, but the Robins were back in front soon afterwards when Jason Knight was on target.
It looked like the Pilgrims were set to suffer a third successive defeat over the Christmas and New Year period until defender Julio Pleguezuelo, who started the game because of an injury to Lewis Gibson, scored in the first minute of added time.
