Plymouth Argyle vs Bristol City live updates

Bristol City started 2025 with a New Year's Day draw with Plymouth Argyle at Home Park as they twice let a lead slop against the Championship strugglers.

The Robins took a 1-0 lead into the break courtesy of Anis Mehmeti, but the home side hit back quickly in the second period through Rami Al Hajj to level things up. Jason Knight then restored the Robins lead with a chipped effort that looked to be the winner.

But in the final knockings of the second half, Julio Pleguezuelo managed to somehow touch home a free-kick inside the penalty area to deny the Robins a third consecutive win over the festive period.

The draw leaves Liam Manning's side on 34 points after the first 25 matches of the season but they don't have time to rest as they are back in action on Saturday when they welcome Derby County to Ashton Gate.
