Legends: Arceus And Other Games Down To Less Than $40 For Pokemon Day
Happy Pokemon Day everyone! No doubt the main thing you're all looking forward to today is the Pokemon Presents taking place at 9 am EST. A presentation that will hopefully reveal the road map for the future of Pokemon games. Even after we find out what's coming next, that doesn't mean you have to leave Pokemon's older games in the past. In fact, other than tuning in for the Presents, the best way to celebrate Pokemon today is by grabbing some of its older games while they're on sale.
Leading the pack in terms of great Pokemon games you can get for less today is Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Lauded as the best Pokemon game on the Switch (so far) by many, the usually $60 title is down to just $39.99 at Walmart. Possibly a reduction to celebrate Pokemon Day, although you never know, it might still be on sale once Pokemon's future becomes more clear. If you have been hesitant about heading to Hisui, pull the trigger on jumping in today as it's a very good, very different, Pokemon game that might not be on sale this time tomorrow.
First Look At Dragonite, Pokemon's Next Squishmallow
Pokemon's Year of the Dragon celebrations continue. If you've already played Legends: Arceus or you'd prefer a more traditional Pokemon adventure, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are both down to $39.99 too. The Switch remakes took us back to Sinnoh and while they weren't the most celebrated games of all time, if you've played through the other mainline Pokemon games on Switch and avoided these, now's the time to give them a go. Not just because the Switch era is coming to an end, but also because they are available for $20 less than usual.
Pokemon Legends Arceus
Visit the ancient region of Hisui, the predecessor to Sinnoh, and help create the first Pokedex. Pokemon Legends: Arceus introduces a more action role-playing, open-world style of gameplay.
While the games above are where you'll find the best savings this Pokemon Day, they're far from the only deals on games you can find. Pokemon Violet and Let's Go Eevee are also available for less on Amazon, while New Pokemon Snap, my personal pick for the Switch's best Pokemon game, is only $40 at Walmart.
Pokemon Shining Pearl
Shining Pearl was one of two remakes that launched on Nintendo Switch based on Diamond & Pearl. Released alongside Brilliant Diamond, the games let Pokemon fans return to a polished version of the Sinnoh region.
Games aren't the only way you can celebrate Pokemon Day, of course. Various retailers have been giving away a limited edition Ceruledge card to mark the occasion to anyone who spends $15 or more on Pokemon TCG products. That promotion began a few days ago, but you never know, some stores may still have the card in stock. Best Buy and GameStop are among the chains running the promotion.
