New image of Prince George released to mark royal's 11th birthday
Kensington Palace has released a picture of Prince George to celebrate his 11th birthday today.
The photograph was taken by the Princess of Wales earlier this month in Windsor.
The black and white image shows the future king looking smart and grown up in an open-necked white shirt and dark blazer as he smiles at the camera.
The Waleses shared the portrait on social media alongside the message: "Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!"
In the photo, George is wearing a friendship bracelet on his left wrist.
Kensington Palace has declined to reveal who gave the prince the bracelet.
George has had an eventful few weeks. He watched England in the Euro 2024 final alongside his father at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, last weekend, which they lost 2-1 to Spain.
He and his nine-year-old sister Princess Charlotte also joined William at a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley Stadium at the end of June to celebrate their father's 42nd birthday.
The royals were pictured smiling with the US singer in a backstage selfie.
Swift's boyfriend, American footballer Travis Kelce, described the royal children as an "absolute delight".
George also joined Kate, Charlotte and his six-year-old brother Prince Louis in a carriage as they travelled down The Mall for the traditional Trooping the Colour ceremony last month to celebrate the King's official birthday.
The young prince, second in line to the throne, later appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the Royal Family.
In May, George and William - who is president of the Football Association and an Aston Villa fan - also attended the FA Cup final at Wembley, and presented the trophy to the winners, Manchester United.
George shook hands with both teams and exchanged a few words with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
He also spoke briefly with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the final whistle.
