NICK Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, have welcomed their first child via surrogate.

The musician said the couple is "overjoyed" as he shared the exciting news in an Instagram post.

Nick, 29, shared the happy news in a black and white text post on Friday, which read: "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate.

"We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family."

Nick concluded the Instagram post by thanking his followers for respecting the couple's privacy as they bond with their newborn, while he also added a red heart emoji.

Meanwhile, the new mother shared an identical message on her own Instagram account.

Priyanka, 39, and Nick tied the knot in 2018 after less than a year of dating.

Shortly after Nick shared the post announcing the baby news, fans rushed to the comments section to congratulate the new parents.

One person wrote: "Congrats! I love you guys- you’ll be amazing parents, I know it."

Alongside crying and heart emojis, another added: "Congrats Omg."

A third chimed in: "Oh yes! I'm happy for you! Congratulations!!!"

TMZ later reported that the baby was born Saturday in a Southern California hospital. 

The outlet reported that they welcomed a baby girl, though a name has not yet been revealed.

The pair were spotted walking hand in hand San Diego at Del Mar Dog Beach just the day before their daughter was born. 

Nick and Priyanka welcomed the first child together just months after fans wondered if the couple had called it quits.

The speculation began when the Quantico actress deleted Nick's last name from her Instagram profile.

Her bio now reads simply: "Priyanka."

She made a similar move on Twitter as that bio now shows her first name in bold letters and nothing more.

Many fans thought that her changing social media name meant the two had parted ways.

Months earlier, fans expressed their concerns for the pair when they celebrated Valentine's Day separately.

At the time, Priyanka was filming a movie in London whilst her husband was in Los Angeles, filming his final season of The Voice.

Following months of split speculation, Priyanka and Nick shut down rumors when they appeared on the Jonas Brothers Family Roast, a comedy special that released on Netflix in November.

They continued to prove their romance was going strong when Nick posted a PDA photo with his wife on Thanksgiving.

In the photo, the duo were cozying up next to each other on a couch.

Priyanka had her arms wrapped around Nick's shoulders and was leaning in to kiss him from behind.

The Jonas Brothers member wore a brown leather jacket and black pants while Priyanka wore an elevated yet cozy golden shimmery sweater dress.

Nick captioned the post: "Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Grateful for you," and tagged Priyanka.
