Partick Thistle defeated on penalties at Stark's Park

Raith Rovers will face St Johnstone or Ross County in the cinch Premiership play-off final next Thursday and Sunday after a dramatic shoot-out win over Partick Thistle.

Ian Murray's men lost 2-1 to Kris Doolan's side at Stark's Park this evening but progressed 4-3 on penalties after the semi-final finished 3-3 on aggregate.

Blair Alston gave the Jags an early lead and the same player scored the winner on the night to force extra time after Ross Matthews had equalised for Rovers.

Lewis Vaughan converted the decisive penalty after Ricco Diack hit the post with his kick as Rovers edged through in front of a crowd of 6,070.
