RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB are today pleased to announce that our Official Sleeve Partner, BOXT, have signed a new, increased multi-year extension to their existing partnership, which includes an additional commitment to the Rangers Charity Foundation.

As part of this extra support, the Rangers Charity Foundation are delighted to announce that BOXT will fund its Walking Football and Football Memories programmes in a year-long partnership.

Rangers are into their third partnership season with BOXT, with their branding continuing to feature on the sleeve of all first-team kits, alongside their presence in and around Ibrox through matchday branding.

The support from BOXT will enable both of the established Rangers Charity Foundation programmes, which have already improved the lives of hundreds of people, to reach even more people this season.

Football Memories supports football fans with dementia by using football images and memorabilia from the past to aid recall and memory.

Trained coaches lead discussions on teams and matches from the past and work with images to stimulate memories and conversation at the Ibrox Community Complex.

Feedback from participants and their carers has been fantastic and the project has helped boost the confidence and self-esteem of those taking part, as well as providing an opportunity for carers in similar circumstances to come together.

The Foundation’s Walking Football programme, for anyone aged 50 and over, is a great way for participants to become more active and enjoy the social aspects that being part of a club can deliver.

Walking Football is a fast-growing version of the sport, which is non-contact, and allows participants to play football with a much lower risk of injury and level of exertion, while still boosting fitness and, for many, helping to reduce social isolation.

Rangers Chief Commercial Officer, Karim Virani, commented: “We are thrilled to renew our partnership with BOXT, a brand that shares our passion for innovation, excellence, and commitment to our supporters.

BOXT’s brilliant approach to our partnership has resulted in a number of engaging activations for our fans such as the BOXT Bench pitchside experience and we are also extremely grateful for their commitment to the Rangers Charity Foundation programmes, which continue to enrich the lives of so many people in the community and wider Glasgow area.

This collaboration has been a fantastic journey so far, and we look forward to building on our successes together, creating even more value for our fans and communities in the years ahead.

Rangers Charity Foundation Chief Executive, Connal Cochrane, continued: “We are really grateful to BOXT for their support to enable us to continue the delivery of these popular programmes.

“We are a Foundation for Healthy Lives and whether it is our Walking Football participants who are benefitting from the exercise or social side of the sessions, or people with dementia whose memories are rekindled and whose carers can feel supported by coming together via our Football Memories programme, this support allows us to help improve the lives of so many people and continue to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family.

“We look forward to working closely with BOXT on these valuable initiatives.”

Andy Kerr, BOXT CEO and Founder, added: “At BOXT we are committed to improving the lives of our customers through our home energy installations and this same ethos is at the heart of our partnerships programmes.

“Since our partnership with Rangers began, we have been warmly welcomed into the community and now, as we enter our third season with the Club, we are delighted to have extended our partnership further to benefit the wider Club community.

“We know that, whatever your age, sport can be a powerful way of bringing people together and the two programmes established by the Rangers Charity Foundation are two incredible examples of this in action.

“We hope that with our support the programmes can continue to help those involved to remember, and create, many happy memories.”
