Leah Loving Life At Rangers
LEAH EDDIE says she is loving life at Rangers having made the move to the club this summer.
The defender, who has become a regular feature in Jo Potter’s backline having joined the Gers, has racked up a total of 10 appearances so far after quickly settling into her new surroundings.
Speaking to RangersTV as she prepares to head to take on her former club when the Gers visit Hibs this weekend, she commented: “I am loving it, obviously I just wanted to get in the door and try and prove what I can bring as a player and get in the team as much as I can.
“I am enjoying being on the pitch with the girls and off the pitch everyone is brilliant so I am loving it so far.
“Going back to face Hibs? I will be nervous; it will be good to see everyone.
“We are just going to play a game of football and hopefully get three points.
“That is the main focus and then after it we can have a couple chats with the girls that I used to play with.
“Hibs was obviously the first team that I went professional with.
“Getting into that environment and getting used to it, the coaches that I had and the players I absolutely loved it.
“Taking a step away from Hibs was really difficult but it is one that I am happy with the decision that I made and I am looking forward to the rest of the season with Rangers.”
The 23-year-old has acknowledged the test the Light Blues will face when they head to the capital tomorrow afternoon, but has encouraged her side to head into the international break on a high by returning to winning ways.
She continued: “You can see in the past five games they have been having really convincing wins and a lot of goals.
“So we need to make sure that we are preparing for that and we look to just focus on us and go and get the three points hopefully.
“We are looking to put things right before the international break and players going to international duty can focus on that.
“Leaving the league happy and coming back hopefully with a positive mindset that we have won our last game before the international break and we will look to build on that for when everyone is back returning to training.”
The centre-back has spoken of life under her new boss having linked up with the former Lioness in the summer, saying she is constantly learning under her guidance every day.
She added: “Working under Jo? It has been really good I have learned a lot in my first couple of months.
“I knew what she wanted to set out to do this season and it is something that I really wanted to be a part of.
“Knowing that what she wanted me to bring as a player hopefully she is happy with what I've brought so far and hopefully I can just keep adding to what the team is bringing and work towards what Jo is setting out for the team to do.”
