Team News: Gers Side To Face Celtic At Ibrox
PHILIPPE CLEMENT has named his Rangers side for this afternoon’s Old Firm match at Ibrox Stadium.
It’s the first fixture of 2025 for the Light Blues, as they look to begin the new year on a high by overcoming their rivals in the second league clash between the teams this season.
From the last outing, the manager has made six changes with Liam Kelly, Jefte, Ianis Hagi, Vaclav Cerny, Nedim Bajrami and Hamza Igamane all coming into the starting side.
That means that Kelly starts between the posts for the Gers, with Ridvan playing at right-back alongside centre-backs Dujon Sterling and Robin Propper, Jefte completes the defence on the left.
Nico Raskin will captain the side for the day and partner Mohamed Diomande in midfield, with Cerny and Hagi operating on the flanks and Bajrami providing support from deep for Igamane, who’s back in the team from the get-go after his brace at the weekend.
On the substitutes bench for Rangers this afternoon is Mason Munn, Oscar Cortes, Connor Barron, Cyriel Dessers, Rabbi Matondo, Kieran Dowell, Leon King, Robbie Fraser and Danilo.
Kick off in Glasgow is at 3pm and supporters outside of the UK can watch the match live on RangersTV.
