Roblox DOWN as users rage at platform outage affecting all services

Roblox players are facing issues this evening as the platform went down due to server disruption.

The app, a virtual universe that allows users to play a variety of games, create new games, and play with their friends, has over 70 million active users daily and is popular with children worldwide. The latest incident was identified at 10.51 PST, Roblox confirmed.

The company wrote on its official website: "We have identified a few issues and are working to resolve them." In a further update issued at 11.28 PST, Roblox said: "We are currently monitoring fixes that have been implemented and are seeing improvement in our availability."

Some users have complained about not being able to log in, while others say they were disconnected and could not get connected again. Down Detector has recorded over 16,000 reports related to Roblox's outage, which is impacting all its services.

A player said they were getting a message saying: "Waiting for an available server. Retrying...(122)" One more fumed: "My weekend is ruined."

A player wrote on X, formerly called Twitter: "NOOOO ROBLOX IS DOWN." Another added: "I CANT PLAY ROBLOX GAMES COME ON." One more tweeted: "The log in brings back a password not correct when it is. Roblox have got logging in issues."

One mentioned the gaming platform, saying: "I got logged out and it won’t let me log back in fix your game roblox." A mother added: "My child just had a panic attack because he couldn’t get on roblox…please fix yall server game is life to him."

A similar worldwide outage also happened back in October with gamers flocking to social media to express their frustration with the software. The game crashed allegedly due to a sharp influx of users, wrote Twitter account @rtrack_live, which monitors Roblox software and provides tips and tricks for developer improvement.

Around 7.9 million users were on the platform at that time, causing the game to crash, the account wrote. There was a brief recovery period about 40 minutes later, when 5.9 million users were tracked using the platform, which subsequently crashed again.

A thread on the Reddit page R/Roblox, a forum where gamers can chat about the game and their experiences playing it, noted the outage, with several Redditors expressing their fury at the crash - though some did also note that the game was still working for them. It is rumoured that specific regional servers might be down, not all of them across the world.
