Roman Reigns pulled from Day 1 after testing positive for COVD19 Brock Lesnar to challenge for WWE Title

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been pulled from tonight’s WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.

Reigns had been kept off the recent WWE live events as a COVID-19 precautionary measure, however, he (Reigns) revealed on Twitter earlier today he has tested positive for COVID-19, and thus will not be working tonight’s Universal Championship Match. He further noted that he looks forward to returning to action as soon as possible.

Reigns was scheduled to defend the WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar in tonight’s main event. Instead WWE has now changed the WWE Championship Match from a Fatal 4 Way to a Fatal 5 Way Match with Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley and WWE Champion Big E.

We will have live coverage of tonight’s WWE Day 1 pay-per-view beginning at 8:00 pm, followed by a Day 1 post-show live on YouTube soon after the event goes off the air.

WWE Day 1 will stream live on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else. The event will emanate from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA.

I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.
