First wave down
The first batch of the RTX 3050 has gone on sale, and while we’ve seen it in a lot of retail stores, it seems like it’s already sold out in many places. Some of those initial low end graphics cards are gone in the blink of an eye, but there’s still room for more expensive versions. However, it seems like more items are being added all the time, so we’ll continue to share updates.
If you’re in the US, be sure to check out the Newegg Shuffle as it’s the most organized way to distribute the RTX 3050 right now.
it was busy
We’ve been trying to keep up with all the various drops over the past few minutes, and while we’re seeing a lot of retailers working, inventory seems to be growing just as fast. These are all live stores we have seen so far.
Newegg Shuffle live for RTX 3050

First RTX 3050s in the wild
In Denmark? Well, you’ll want to go to Proshop where there are a few listings for the RTX 3050 right now and the launch time is scheduled for 3pm CET (that’s about 15 minutes away).
Luckily, we can see the prices of all available cards and one of them is actually available for 2199 kr. – this converts to around $329 / £246, which is pretty much in line with the suggested price. Prices for other cards range from about the same to much higher, the highest price I’ve seen is 4090 kr. That’s a whopping $612 / £458.
They will be available from 14:00 on our website, please note that we expect low stock. -GH.January 27, 2022

British retailer Scan confirms availability of the RTX 3050 at 14:00 GMT.
One of the UK’s leading PC retailers has just shared a video of the RTX 3050 on their website. Twitter account and, unsurprisingly, most answers ask when the graphics card will be available for purchase.
Luckily, the social media team has responded and confirmed that the RTX 3050 will be available on the Scan site from 14:00 GMT. The retailer clarified that “we expect only a small amount to be in stock,” so it’s likely that it could be extremely difficult to get one.
And what about the suggested retail price of £239? “We don’t have any information we can provide at this time regarding pricing,” the response reads. I’m concerned.

Auros Nordic ready to go
Looks like we’re not the only ones excited about the upcoming launch of the RTX 3050. The Scandinavian arm of component maker Auros has created a buzz with this image of the boxed Gigabyte RTX 3050. “This child is about to fall!” it’s written on Twitter.
It should be soon, really. We expect retailers to list their RTX 3050 inventory in less than an hour. At 9:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM GMT to be exact.
Expected launch time: 9:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM GMT.
The specific launch time has now been reportedly narrowed down, with Nvidia allegedly confirming that the RTX 3050 will go on sale at select retailers from 9am ET / 2pm GMT. We are looking for confirmation of this right now.
If true, that means less than two hours left to find out if it will be easy to buy the latest 30-series graphics card. and be available at a suggested price of $249/£239. Crossed fingers!
Will the RTX 3050 really cost $249 / £239 at launch?
This is the main question, isn’t it? During the launch of all previous RTX 30 series graphics cards, we have seen that these recommended prices are nothing short of a pipe dream. Maybe this is finally the time when we are not forced to rob just to buy some new technology? So far, we’ve seen arguments that it can go both ways.
First, good. Just earlier this month, it was reported that RTX 3050 shipments would be better than other GPU launches. Now, what exactly does the best RTX 3050 supply look like? According to another report from OC3D, there will be nearly 1,000 GPUs available in UK retail stores at launch at a recommended price. It doesn’t sound like much, but if it’s true, then it somehow ensures that the RTX 3050 can be bought without paying excessive prices.
Now, before we gleefully state it, we have also seen evidence of inflated prices in early listings. An RTX 3050 has been spotted at an undisclosed store in Peru for $453 (that’s around £334 / AU$630). It also appeared on third-party listings on the Newegg Marketplace for up to $699 (around £520/AU$980), but that’s for a card shipped from overseas.
Overall, we are optimistic, but definitely leaning towards caution given that we have been burned so many times in the past. We need to find out for sure which way it will go in the next few hours.
RTX 3050: TechRadar Verdict
While we have some time, why not read TechRadar’s RTX 3050 review for a better idea of the graphics cards we’re all after today.
To be fair, Jackie’s reaction to the GPU has been somewhat mixed. Its 1080p gaming performance was praised – even with ray tracing. So those with much older cards looking to upgrade to, say, the GTX 1650 will find a lot to like for $249/£239. That said, it’s still a hefty price tag compared to the RTX 2060, which means it might not be quite the affordable entry-level GPU it claims to be, and is struggling to claim a place in our best graphics card guide.
We’ll have to see how prices stabilize when it actually becomes available, but later today.
A very warm welcome to our RTX 3050 live blog.
Some might say that I’m a fool. Some might say that I’m wasting my time. But I refuse to listen. The RTX 3050 comes out today, and I’ll make sure at least one person can buy it.
Yes, if you’ve been here before with any previous Nvidia RTX 30 Series launch, you know that actually buying a graphics card isn’t nearly as guaranteed as you’d like. Whether it’s crashing websites, scalping bots, or disappearing stocks, we’ve all seen a complete mess trying to buy a new tech product over the last couple of years. Will it be different this time?
I’m hoping so because this live blog exists: to help you find RTX 3050 stock. We know a new entry-level graphics card should be released today. And while we don’t have a set time to stick with it, we can assume from previous launches that it should be available for purchase anytime from now on. It’s rumored to be 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM ET (that’s 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM GMT), so we’ll be on the lookout from now on.
Then join me on this potentially fruitless but no doubt exciting adventure and hopefully you’ll get an RTX 3050 at a reasonable price.
