Taiwan startup starts real-name sales of rubbing alcohol from vending machines
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, one Taiwan startup has caught sight of a business opportunity. Following its launch of vending machines that sell face masks, it\'\'s started up automated sales of rubbing alcohol in three cities. Using smart vending machines, shoppers can pick up a bottle of 75% isopropyl alcohol in just 30 seconds. The machines require identity verification before purchase, and there\'\'s a limit of one bottle per person to prevent hoarding. It’s grab and go in just 30 seconds. Following the launch of its face mask vending machines, one Taiwan startup has partnered with a chemical maker to automate the sale of disinfectant. The machines carry 500 milliliter bottles of 75% isopropyl alcohol. For a limited time only, 500 bottles will go out free of charge. To prevent hoarding, the operator has adopted a real-name sales system.
