Ruth Langsford returns to ITVs Loose Women and fails to mention
Ruth Langsford has returned to Loose Women for the first time since her split from Eamonn Holmes was announced. But the star avoided any mention of the break up

Ruth Langsford made a triumphant return to Loose Women on ITV, two months after announcing her separation from Eamonn Holmes, without mentioning her impending divorce.

On her television comeback on Monday, July 22, she did not discuss her split from fellow presenter Holmes, despite their 14-year marriage and 27-year relationship.

Dressed in a white top, vibrant red blazer and sporting rings on her wedding finger, she greeted the applauding studio audience with a radiant smile: "Thank you very much," she said. "Welcome to the first Loose Women of the week. It's great to have your company."

After discussing the upcoming segments, Coleen Nolan turned to Ruth following her two-month hiatus and expressed: "Wait, wait, wait, before you carry on can I just say, I'm so, so happy that you're back."

Following a round of applause, Janet Street-Porter humorously remarked: "I'm not, I was left with her and her," pointing at Coleen and Brenda Edwards. Ruth responded: "I'm sorry Janet, I won't do it again. It's very nice to be back with you all," before diving into the show, reports the Express.

Since the surprising announcement of her split in May, Ruth had been absent from television screens. However, Eamonn has continued his work at GB News in recent weeks, without discussing his forthcoming divorce on air.

Insiders have revealed that 64-year-old Ruth has been deeply affected by the end of her marriage but is determined not to delve into details about her separation from Eamonn on the show.

According to The Mirror, an insider shared, "It has been a tough few weeks but now she feels it is time for her to get back to Loose Women. It is a job she loves doing and even though the split has been very tough, life must go on."

The couple, who tied the knot in 2010 after meeting through friends in 1997 and dating for over a decade, had not been seen together publicly for two years prior to their breakup. Together they share a son, Jack, born in 2002.

Eamonn also has three older children from his previous marriage to Gabrielle, whom he divorced before his marriage to Ruth.
