Lady Gaga Won Most Likely to Mingle at the SAG Awards 2022

After being snubbed by the Oscars for her bellissimo performance in House of Gucci, Lady Gaga didn’t miss a moment of networking at the SAG Awards 2022. While she lost the prize for lead female actor in a film to Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Gaga ensured that her dance card was full with extracurriculars. 

Thanks to on-the-ground reporting from V.F.’s awards correspondent Rebecca Ford, we know that Gaga was one of the last to arrive to the Barker Hangar ballroom on Sunday. She could be seen standing and applauding throughout the show, and was often the first person to her feet when a winner was announced. She first sprung up to cheer when Ariana DeBose won the supporting-actress award (DeBose shouted Gaga out in her speech when she spotted her in the audience), again when Succession won for best ensemble in a drama series, and finally when Chastain beat her out for the lead-actor award.

There was preening with Gucci costar Jared Leto, who lost his supporting-actor trophy to CODA’s Troy Kotsur. Gaga then reunited with her A Star Is Born director and onscreen love interest Bradley Cooper before sharing an emotional moment with Helen Mirren.
