The Best Jewellery On The SAG Awards 2022 Red Carpet

It was all about the white diamond necklace at last night’s SAG Awards in Los Angeles. While the rest of the world might be dopamine-dressing in gemstones that span every colour of the rainbow, with an extra jolt of neon for good measure, the stars of Hollywood opted for the eternal chic of white ice. 

Selena Gomez wore hers wide and high in the form of a Bulgari Serpenti choker that wrapped itself around her neck, not once but three times. Lady Gaga meanwhile opted for a classic floral Schlumberger necklace by Tiffany & Co. to soften the look of her Hollywood bombshell gown. 

A narrow Messika choker was the icing on the cake to Demi Singleton’s babydoll look, while men got in on the white diamond necklace act, too, with The Power of the Dog’s Kodi Smit-McPhee pairing his white tux with a delicate Cartier collar.

For others it was all about layering. Jada Pinkett Smith wore her lace-like collar, also by Cartier  – a streamlined, monochrome reinterpretation of its famous 1947 amethyst and turquoise necklace created for Wallis Simpson – over a high-necked vintage Gareth Pugh gown. Greta Lee layered Tiffany & Co. diamonds over her Marc Jacobs ensemble in support of Ukraine.

Leave it however to Elle Fanning to channel a trend and yet do it with a twist. She layered her Gucci tux with a white diamond necklace by Cartier, complete with a gobstopper-sized pink morganite pendant – the perfect match to her bow tie.
