And for one famous reality star couple, the ups and downs of their romantic life have been laid bare for the world to see.

For Channel 4’s Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson his world was rocked when his girlfriend, former Celebrity X Factor contestant Zara McDermott, revealed that she had cheated on him in front of thousands of viewers. .

As part of starring on the Channel 4 show, Sam has opened up his world and shared his love life with audiences.

And most of his relationships haven’t been smooth sailing to say the least.

From his tumultuous flings with numerous cast members to his current relationship with Zara, the 29-year-old has had a rough ride with the ladies.

Zara appeared on the celebrity version of the singing competition alongside her Love Island co-stars in 2019.

The songstress wowed fans with her vocal stylings but behind the scenes there was a secret affair brewing.

On an episode of Made in Chelsea which aired on October 19, Zara decided to come clean about cheating on Sam to his close friend Jamie Laing.

She said: "When it happened I genuinely thought that me and Sam were going to break up, inevitably.

"I just thought we were hanging on by a tiny thread and we're going to break up."

Eventually the couple did break up as Sam was reportedly devastated by the news which played out on the series.

But despite the events, the pair decided to give their relationship another chance and got back together.

Zara took to Instagram on her 24th birthday appearing to confirm that she and Sam had patched things up.

Speaking to MailOnline, Sam shared why he had chosen to get back with Zara.

He said: “I believe in forgiveness. I understand the context and I think in any walk of life you can't move forward unless you forgive.

"Forgiveness allows you to heal. You can only heal when you forgive the other person and get over that."

With his relationship back on track, Sam has been busy continuing to increase his net worth.

The reality star is worth a whopping £850,000 which he has made through endorsements and appearing on shows such as Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Big Brother.

So although the road has been rocky for the star, he’s been laughing all the way to the bank.
