Samuel L. Jackson and Emilia Clarke film upcoming Marvel series Secret Invasion in Leeds - CELEBRITY GIG MAGAZINE

Hollywood heavyweights Samuel L. Jackson and Emilia Clarke were seen on the set of Marvel’s Secret Invasion for the first time in Leeds on Sunday.

Actor Samuel, 73, who plays Nick Fury in the mini-series, looked relaxed as he sat in set between takes.

He was joined by Emilia Clark, 35, who cut a casual figure in a dark green jacket along with a matching T-shirt with a pink print during the shoot.

Styling her brunette locks into a bob, she also wrapped up in a blue padded jacket between takes.

Samuel wore a brown coat and a black wooly hat and sported a full salt and pepper beard.

His co-star, former Game of Thrones star Emilia was seen chatting with members of the crew during the outdoor shoot.

A number of roads in Leeds city centre have reportedly been closed for the shoot while a set has been created at The Piece Hall, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post. 

Emilia stars in the series alongside Samuel, Ben Mendelsohn and Cobie Smulders.

The show which will act as a direct sequel to the 2019 film Captain Marvel, which also starred Samuel as a younger version of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

The show follows shapeshifting aliens known as the Skrulls who have infiltrated all aspects of life on earth. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will use Captain Marvel as a launch pad and focus on the agent Fury and a Skrull played by Ben Mendelsohn. 

Kyle Bradstreet, who helmed the acclaimed Mr Robot, will act as writer and executive producer.

It comes after Emilia celebrated her 35th birthday in recent months with a disco themed bash that channelled New York’s iconic studio 54.

The star shared a series of black and white images to Instagram in which she could be seen grinning widely.

Emilia donned a bold one-shouldered feather trimmed dress which featured an asymmetric hem and glitzy details.

She captioned the post: ‘Holy birthday balls now THATS what I call a good time.’
