With Storm Eunice starting to batter the UK, both routes into Wales have been closed by high winds for what agencies say is the first time.
High winds already closed the A417 and M48 Severn Bridge earlier on Friday (February 18) - and the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge has now also been closed both ways, leaving motorists trying to leave and enter Wales stranded.
Winds of up to 80 and 90mph are set to lash the south west today, with coastal surges and river flooding predicted to be widespread. Public agencies are advising against travel wherever possible.

- Damage to buildings and homes, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down
- Uprooted trees are likely
- Roads, bridges and railway lines closed, with delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights
- Power cuts affecting other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- Large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and homes, including flooding of some coastal properties
