Championship play-offs: Nottingham Forest to play Sheffield United, Huddersfield to take on Luton
Nottingham Forest will play Sheffield United while Huddersfield Town are to face Luton Town in the Championship play-offs.
Fulham and Bournemouth have already been automatically promoted, with Fulham going up as champions with a 90 point tally.
The two-legged semi-final ties are due to take place from May 13-17, with Wembley’s showpiece final set for May 29.
Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town — as the third and fourth place finishers — will have home advantage in the second leg.
Forest looked set for third, having taken a late 1-0 lead over Hull City, but Keane Lewis-Potter’s late equaliser consigned Steve Cooper’s side to fourth after Huddersfield’s 2-0 win over Bristol City.
Luton finished sixth after beating Reading 1-0, with Middlesbrough’s 4-1 loss to Preston North End meaning that Chris Wilder’s side ended the year five points off the play-offs.
Forest have not won at Bramall Lane since 2004, while Huddersfield are unbeaten in their last four games against Luton.
Luton have not been in the Premier League since 1992, while Forest have not played in the top division since 1999.
