Emmerdale legend Sheree Murphy, best known as Tricia Dingle, is set go head-to-head with some fellow soap legends as part of Channel 4's The Great Christmas Bake Off

Sheree Murphy's first TV appearance was a small but notable role as a female mugger in Only Fools and Horses 1996 Christmas episode "Heroes and Villains" but the actress is best known for her role of Tricia Dingle in ITV's Emmerdale. The actress appeared on the soap for six years between 1998 until 2004.

Her iconic character was involved in a number of dramatic storylines including her flings with men in the village until she fell in love with Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock.

The two tied the knot on the show in 2003 but their relationship hit a rocky patch when she left the Yorkshire village to star in a Bolywood movie - only to come back to find out Marlon had been having an affair with his distant cousin.

Just as hoped the romance could be repaired, Sheree's character was caught up in a storm that wrecked the pub she worked in. She was declared brain dead after being airlifted to hospital and then died due to a cardiac arrest.

The actress's life is very different from her drama-filled days hanging behind the Wolfpack's bar. Sheree has been living the dream life with her family after swapping acting for parenthood.

The now a proud mum to four children, son Taylor, and daughters Ruby, Matilda and Doll, all of which she shares with her former footballer husband Harry Kewell.

Sheree met the Australian star while she was still working on Emmerdale. The pair ran into each other at the Majestyk nightclub in Leeds all the way back in 2000.

Clearing hitting it off, the pair exchanged numbers and soon a romance blossomed between the couple, leading to their spontaneous Las Vegas wedding two years later in May 2002.

Following a career break to bring up her family, Sheree appeared in The Royal before bagging the part of Eva Strong in Hollyoaks.

She went on to appear on the ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! in 2005 and narrowly missed out on the top spot, finishing second to Carol Thatcher.

Following her successful stint on the reality TV show, Sheree went on to try her hand at presenting and hosted various episodes on This Morning alongside former host Phillip Schofield.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
