Stellar Blade PS5 demo will carry over to April's big PS5 exclusive

With every week that passes, those Stellar Blade trophies draw ever closer. While we wait to explore the trophy list to its fullest, we can get excited about the recent Stellar Blade PS5 demo release date reveal. We can finally get a taste of this upcoming action epic and see if it warrants a spot on our best PS5 games list.

Stellar Blade PS5 demo release imminent

Despite the Stellar Blade demo already leaking ahead of schedule and Sony having to erase its existence from the face of the earth quickly. Sony has officially announced that the Stellar Blade demo will come to PS5 on Friday, March 29, 2024.The trailer for the demo is ferocious and badass. Shift Up may have only had 30 seconds to showcase how epic Stellar Blade is, but damn did it manage to produce one hell of a captivating trailer. I was always going to grab the demo, no questions asked, but thanks to this trailer I will be waiting at bang on midnight on Friday, waiting for this beauty to drop.

As mentioned in a post on the PlayStation Blog, your progress from the demo will carry over into the full release of the game. So, jumping into the demo will give you a nice headstart for when the game releases. Also, for those wanting to check out Eve's wardrobe and dress her up in some stylish outfits, well, there are a few costumes available in the demo for you to check out. One of which we believe is the notorious "skin suit" that has been making the rounds online.

Staff Writer Lee and I researched Stellar Blade extensively and concluded that an overused Soulslike feature won't be included in this upcoming hack-and-slash treat — having to retrieve your exp after you die. So, here's hoping this still holds true when we dive into the demo and see all of the different shenanigans that Stellar Blade offers.

Stellar Blade is truly shaping up to be one of Sony's best PS5 exclusives in a long time and I can only hope that it lives up to all of the praise it is seeing. The demo will be a good indicator of what we can expect when the full game drops. So, here's hoping that it manages to impress me and keep me buckled up on this hype train.
