Starbucks are giving away free drinks to NHS workers for one day only
NHS workers are in for a treat as Starbucks revives its yearly freebie, offering them complimentary hot beverages today (December 5). The coffeehouse giant is teaming up with NHS Charities Together.
To claim your free drink, healthcare employees need only show a valid NHS ID at the till.
All 'tall' sized beverages are up for grabs in the festive promotion, including decadent Christmas concoctions such as the Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte, not to mention seasonal delights like Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate, Toffee Nut Latte, and Caramel Waffle Latte, available both iced and as frappes.
Starbucks will also send 25,000 Doubleshot Espresso cans and 42,000 sachets of Premium Instant coffee straight to hospitals and ambulance stations along with treats such as chocolate-coated pretzels and vegan brownies.

Ellie Orton, CEO of NHS Charities Together, said: "We hope Starbucks Free Coffee Giveaway will remind our NHS staff across the UK that their dedication is appreciated and they will be able to take a break from their life-saving duties and enjoy the festive season," reports Chronicle Live.
Blue Light cards will not be recognised as valid NHS ID.
The Starbucks Christmas menu, which was launched early last month, includes a range of festive food items from the new 'Tis The Season Sandwich filled with chicken, cranberry chutney, bacon, and sage and onion stuffing, to the return of the Festive Feast Panini and the Pigs Under Blanket Panini. For those with a sweet tooth, there's the new Polar Bear Cake Pop, plus the Caramel Waffle Muffin, Red Velvet Loaf Cake and Christmas Tree Brownie.
