You need a controller in order to play split screen co-op multiplayer in Stranded Deep on PC.

Provided you have a controller at hand, you must proceed to Inputs in Options and change the None next to controller to P2 so you can play Stranded Deep’s co-operative multiplayer.

Once you’ve done the above, simply select Apply, head to New Game, and switch Single Player to Cooperative.

And that’s how you play the game with a mate. Again, there’s no online component as of writing, meaning you can only play with a friend via the same PC.
