Swansea City head to the south coast of England in the first match of round four of the FA Cup

Swansea City will be looking to upset the odds in their fourth round FA Cup tie on Thursday evening.

A trip to Premier League side Bournemouth awaits, with the Swans having comprehensively defeated League Two outfit Morecambe 2-0 in what was Luke Williams’ opening match in the SA1 dugout.

The former Notts County boss will be vying to avenge Saturday afternoon’s 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Southampton, and one-time ally Russell Martin, against another club hailing from the south coast.

Bournemouth overturned a 2-0 deficit at Loftus Road to eventually trump second-tier QPR 3-2 in a thrilling third-round contest, putting them into the hat for the next round.

Here is everything you need to know about tonight's showdown.

What time does Bournemouth vs Swansea kick off?

The match will commence at 7:45pm on Thursday, January 25, at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium.

Is Bournemouth vs Swansea on TV?

Yes, just like a whole host of FA Cup ties this year, the match will be available to watch on S4C and BBC iPlayer. It can also be streamed on S4C's Clic app.

Bournemouth vs Swansea team news

The trip to Dorset comes too soon Ben Cabango, who has missed the last three fixtures with a minor ankle injury.

Unfortunately for Williams, Josh Key, Sam Parker, Azeem Abdulai and Liam Walsh all remain sidelined alongside long-term absentee Josh Ginnelly, with the striker not expected to feature again this term after rupturing his Achilles tendon back in September.

Meanwhile, Swans forward Jamal Lowe, who has scored six times on his return to the Swansea.com Stadium this season on loan from the Cherries, is ineligible to feature. This is because the FA prohibits loan players from featuring against their parent clubs in the FA Cup.

Lowe complained of a muscle issue just after the hour mark during the Southampton fixture and he will now miss around four weeks of the season.

On the other hand, Andoni Iraola is also missing a number of players.

Defensive duo Adam Smith and Milos Kerkez were both ruled out of Bournemouth’s 4-0 home loss to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, with the latter having been sidelined for the last month. MAz Aarons will also sit this one out.

Dango Ouattara and ex-Bristol City attacker Antoine Semenyo will both be unavailable too, owing to their representation of Burkina Faso and Ghana respectively at this year’s African Cup of Nations, although Semenyo does have an outside chance to featuring from the bench, having travelled back to the UK last night. Ryan Fredericks and Tyler Adams remain out through injury.
