Tess Daly: Strictly 2019 host reveals heartbreaking 'loss' after wedding to Vernon Kay

Tess Daly, 51, spoke candidly about the struggle of losing her dad just 18 days after she wed Vernon Kay, 45, in an intimate ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Horwich. The Strictly Come Dancing 2019 host revealed since her father’s death, it\'s important to “protect” her family life. The BBC favourite who shares two daughters Phoebe, 15, and Amber, 10 with husband Vernon, admitted she would have loved for her dad to have met children. Speaking to The Times, Tess explained: “It’s not so much that I’d have wanted him to see what I’d done. I’d just have loved for him to have met our girls, to have been part of their lives. “When you lose someone, the way you think about everything changes forever.
