The Girl Before star reacts to episode two twist and teases more to come

The Girl Before spoilers follow.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw has delved into psychological thriller The Girl Before's latest twist for her character Jane.
In the limited series, the Loki star plays a PR executive who gets the chance to move into a beautifully designed home. Provided she agrees to abide by its architect's (David Oyelowo) strict rules.
At the end of episode two tonight (December 20), Jane made an unsettling discovery about the house, leading her to believe there's more lurking beneath its tasteful, minimalist surface.

"There's many more twists to come. Just you wait," Mbatha-Raw promised in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy.
"Yeah, I mean, for me, when I read that moment of going through into the secret room – I'd not long seen the film Parasite, where they go down into the basement.
"To me, it's where the show took on another level, and you realise there's another facet to the house, and another facet to this world."

Mbatha-Raw explained more about the house revealing itself in all its eeriness... for now.
"So for me, that was always a really juicy reveal. For me, I always felt like that was another dimension to the house. And as I say, there's so many twists and turns to come in the final two episodes," she said.
"Yeah, that, I love, when you're like, 'I've got to watch the next one.' You just can't wait to see the next episode."

However, the English actress admitted she wouldn't want to live in the house from the series.
"I don't think it's really my style," Mbatha-Raw said.
"I think I'd like something a little more characterful and soulful. I find the house pretty stark.
"I think it would be maybe fun short-term for a holiday or a party or something like that. But to live there day to day, I would probably find it a bit oppressive and cold."
The Girl Before airs on BBC One in the UK, and will stream on HBO Max in the US.
