The Grand Tour boss speaks out as new special takes aim at French 'It's jealousy'

“We didn't want to do another road trip for this one so we've done what we've done, which is this look at the French,” he continued. 

“I’m intrigued rather than excited that people actually like it because it's a bit of an experiment for us. 

“But I hope they will go well that is a fast, funny bit of a romp, an adventure because it's not a road trip. 

“And it's packed with stuff and you learn stuff about the French and I hope they get that we like the French – that we're not some Brexity people, that we actually do like it that's what I'm hoping.”
