The Witcher Season 3 Release Date, Cast, And Plot - What We Know So Far

Unsurprisingly, the plot of "The Witcher" Season 3 is being kept under wraps for the moment, but it's definitely going to lead on from the apocalyptic air that descends across the Continent in Season 2. Although, if we had to guess, it'll probably involve Geralt killing some terrifying monsters along the way. Lauren S. Hissrich has been doing plenty of press ahead of "The Witcher" Season 2, and she recently teased what to expect from the third season.
According to ComicBook.com, Hissrich spoke at the Lucca Comics & Games 2021 festival and revealed: "What I will say about the third season, the writers are back in Los Angeles diligently working while I am here getting to do this, so I'm grateful for them," before also adding that it will be a "really fun season." The showrunner went on to say that "The Witcher" Season 3 will follow a "particular book very closely" and that it includes "a lot of action, some death... some death." Interesting.
Thankfully, we know that the series is set to start shooting in early 2022, as per "The Witcher" fan site Redanian Intelligence, which spotted the listing in Production Weekly. We'll probably learn more about what's ahead for Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer when filming starts — so we'll be sure to keep you updated.
