Global: Tokio Marine Kiln appoints new CEO

Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has appointed: • Mr Matthew Shaw as CEO, subject to regulatory approval • Mr Vivek Syal as CUO, subject to regulatory approval • Mr Brad Irick as co-head of international business for Tokio Marine Group • Mr Chris Williams as chairman for Tokio Marine Holdings' international business

Mr Shaw has four decades of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, he served TMK as CUO, where he created an underwriting strategy that led to performance improvements over the past four years.

Mr Irick has been CEO of TMK since 2020. He implemented a strategy that put people, culture and performance at the centre of success and led TMK to consistent profitability.

Mr Syal joined TMK in 2017. Most recently, he served TMK as CRO.
